With our infrastructure upgrade now successfully completed, we’re turning our attention back to content and the next phase of the project.

As we’ve grown, we’ve learned that most off-the-shelf file-sharing tools, whether for a single large image or for millions of file are either too costly or can’t cope with our scale.

After testing nearly every viable option, we’ve relied on a stable mix of FTP and Sync to keep things running.

In our discovery work, we explored commissioning a bespoke solution.

After several months of refinement, we’re ready to proceed: we’ll develop custom software that lets us share anything from one file to millions, built on a widely adopted backbone and augmented with a P2P layer to meet our future needs.
